This week is National Anti-Bullying Week.
The theme of this year’s awareness campaign is ‘Power For Good’ and its aim is to shine a spotlight on bullying and encourage all children, teachers and parents to take action against bullying throughout the year.
Here in school, Anti-Bullying Ambassadors will be performing three scenes at various assemblies throughout the week to display bullying and the difference between harmless jokes with friends, sometimes called banter and bullying as well as an example of how to deal with it.
We have poem and poster competitions open to the whole school as well as selling blue Anti-Bullying Bands at 50 pence each . Our Anti bullying Ambassadors will be selling them by the PE entrance every day.
Anti-bullying booklets have been produced that can be found around school for students to read or take away with them.
Kion Reeves is the co-ordinator in school and he can be found in the Mentors’ Office if anyone needs to speak with him to discuss any aspect of bullying.
