This Thursday, March 3, St Bonaventure’s will join over 100 countries around the globe to celebrate World Book Day.
World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Reading is a very important part of our culture and we want all our students to develop a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and benefit from the improved life chances this brings them.
As part of our celebration, staff and students will be discarding their usual uniforms and work attire and swapping them for a variety of colourful and wonderful costumes and dressing up to encourage reading.
There will be prizes awarded for the best-dressed students, as well as fun and games around the themes of reading taking place throughout the day.
There’s still plenty of time to get thinking and put together a costume for Thursday and join in the fun.
We can’t wait to see the magnificent outfits that come through the school gates as this is one of our favourite dates on the school calendar.
