Our Year 7 basketball team played their first game of the season yesterday, January 23, and won a comfortable 77 to 17.
Earlier in January at the draft selection for the Junior NBA St Bonaventure’sĀ luckily drew a team that play in yellow, a team called the Indianapolis Pacers.
Last night this proved to be very lucky and our Year 7 team played their first game of the season againstĀ Brampton Manor Academy team who were playing as the Chicago Bulls.
It was apparent early on that all the hard work our boys have put into training has paid off. St Bonaventure’s took the lead without much response from Brampton Manor. The game finished 77-17 and Mr Bartlett says it’s a promising start as we move into the next round against another London Borough winner yet to be confirmed.
Lucky yellow indeed.
